L3Harris Electrostatic Dissipative Coatings
L3Harris is the industry leader in developing advanced communications systems used for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; airborne satellite and ground tactical networks; and command and control, including for the U.S. secretary of defense and the president of the United States.
The new 380,000 SF building will serve as the company’s hub for developing cutting-edge communication technologies.
This was a large ESD project that required a good team of skilled applicators, regular schedule management and phasing. In addition, the slab had been badly cracked due to weather during curing. FW Specialties provided a solution for this by skimming the entire 380,000 SF with epoxy filler/grinding before applying the ESD conductive coating system.

Utah State Corrections Facility (Various Seamless Epoxy Systems)
The new Utah State Prison sits on more than 170 acres and accommodates 3600 male and female inmates of all classifications. This massive campus features the expected cell blocks and security buildings, but also substance abuse and behavioral health housing.
This project encompassed site installations in almost every building on campus, and required multiple crews to be on site at the same time to accommodate the construction schedule. A large amount of skilled manpower, senior level project management, and consistent quality control allowed FW Specialties to provide an installation that will last for decades.
